A Diary of a First Year Junior High School Student
Today was my first day of junior high school, and I must say, it was quite an exciting and nerve-wracking experience. The school looked huge compared to my old elementary school, and I couldn't help but feel a little anxious about finding my way around.
In the morning, we had an opening ceremony where the principal and teachers welcomed us to the school. They gave us words of encouragement and told us about the rules and expectations of being a junior high student. It was a bit overwhelming, but I am determined to do my best.
After the ceremony, we had a tour of the school to get familiar with our classrooms, the library, and other facilities. I felt relieved knowing that I would not get lost on my first day. The classrooms were much bigger and equipped with new technology. I was thrilled to see that we had our own lockers where we could keep our belongings.
My classmates seem nice too. Some of them I already knew from elementary school, but there were also many new faces. The teachers introduced us to each other and encouraged us to make new friends. I was a bit shy at first, but I managed to strike up a conversation with a few of my classmates during lunch break.
In the afternoon, we had our first class subjects - English, Math, Chinese, and Physical Education. The teachers were kind and patient, and they explained the lessons clearly. I was relieved to find that the subjects were not too difficult, although the workload seemed heavier than in elementary school.
Overall, my first day of junior high school was a mix of excitement, nervousness, and curiosity. I understand that this is just the beginning, and there will be challenges ahead, but I am determined to work hard and make the most of my junior high school experience.
